The "Voice of Truth" broadcasts are messages preached
by our founder, the late Pastor L. R. Shelton, Sr. The more than 500 titles span the early days of his ministry until
his death in 1971. These hour-long recordings consist of choir singing, letter reading and a thirty minute
sermon. We have Text and Audio files of several of these sermons available here on our website. More audio files are online at our SermonAudio.com site.
You can also request free printed booklets to be mailed to you. View the complete Title List.
The original "Old Trailblazer" messages (Title List)
were preached over the radio by our founder, the late Pastor L. R. Shelton, Sr.,
in the early 1950's. They were daily broadcasts that appealed to many because of their homespun style and clarity of doctrine. Each message
has a unique setting as the old parson rides out on "old Dan", his horse, to the various meeting places – "blazing the
path to the hearts of sinners."
In recent years our current pastor, Bro. Albert Pendarvis was led to continue this broadcast,
following in the same footsteps as Pastor Shelton with these fifteen-minute messages.
Our local services, consisting of the "Bible School of the Air," the 11 o'clock "Worship Hour,"
Sunday and Wednesday night services are also available on cassette, CD and a revolving tape plan.
Choir Songs – See Titles
We have six one-hour recordings of old-fashioned hymns sung by our
radio choir. We do not have highly trained voices, but our aim is to bring glory, honor and
praise to our blessed Lord.
We do not recommend sending credit card information through email.
This is very insecure and your card may be abused.
We pray the Lord will bless these gospel messages to awaken sinners to their lost condition,
bring them to know Christ, and to edify and strengthen the saints.
Bro. Shelton always preached for conviction, because if a sinner is awakened and convicted by the
Holy Spirit, he will be moved upon to search for the Saviour. Many preachers take for granted that
an individual knows he is a sinner under judgment and going to Hell unless he comes to know Christ.
Therefore the preacher picks up at this point and exhorts the sinner to just trust Christ and His finished work for salvation.
When asked, "How do you preach for conviction?"
Bro. Shelton's answer was, "On the one hand, you have to preach the law of
a holy sovereign God and His right to justly punish sin; on the other hand you
have to paint the total depravity of the human heart with the paintbrush of
God's Word." Unless a preacher is humbled in the dust of repentance
himself, it is impossible for him to describe his own depraved heart in order
to preach for the salvation of other souls and be true to sinners.
